INSPIRATIONAL EVENT!

This is a very exciting time for both John and the Hepatitis B Foundation!

I was the first person from the Hepatitis B Foundation that John contacted. Thinking back to the first email I received from him in August of 2007 inquiring about doing a fundraiser, I know that I never imagined that something like the "Believe in the Cure Cycling Tour" would become a reality. This just goes to show what an incredibly hard working young man John really is.

The process of planning for this event has been a truly refreshing experience. I've come to learn that it isn't just about how much money is raised…it's about the experience of a young 17-year-old named John Ellis and his desire to show others affected by hepatitis B that there is HOPE and you can truly LIVE with this diagnosis.

John, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your dream for this tour! It's been an amazing experience so far…and it's only just beginning! Enjoy the ride!!!!

Countdown.

With little over a month until the kick-off event, I must say that I never realized how much time and energy would be needed to organize the Believe in the Cure Cycling Tour. I admit that it has been quite tough juggling school, work, music, and all that has been involved with the planning of this ride, but it has kept me on my toes as there has never been a dull moment along the way. I can only imagine the effort that the Hepatitis B Foundation has invested to ensure its success. The countdown has begun, and the excitement is building.
As the logistics are finalized, focus has shifted to raising public awareness. It is through this public awareness and the Foundation's support that this cycling tour, my personal endeavor, will be successful. At this time, I would like to reach out to you, and ask for your support. This blog will be used as a tool to accomplish that. Any sort of feedback, questions, etc., can be directed to myself, my riding partner and friend, Jamaal, or the Hep B Foundation here on the blog. Please feel free to do so. In addition, all pictures, and updates will be posted here. Thanks for your support and take care.
